Quality Assurance Line for HK Domes Inaugurated at Walqa

Over the past few months, the LSC has set up a quality assurance (QA) line to validate the proper manufacturing of the PMMA domes that will be part of the Hyper-Kamiokande experiment in Japan.

Located at the Walqa Technology Park, this facility enables precise characterization of the domes’ geometry using contact sensors in a single measurement process.

The LSC Hyper-K team will use this installation to characterize the 20,000 domes. Keep up the great work, team!
