The LSC organises a scientific workshop, on the 5th and 6th of September, with members of the NEXT and KamLAND-Zen collaborations in the framework of the bilateral scientific collaboration between Spain and Japan.
The NEXT collaboration has developed the NEXT-100 experiment, a high-pressure xenon-136 gas TPC, and KamLAND-Zen has built the world’s largest neutrinoless double-beta decay detector by dissolving xenon in a scintillator liquid.
The scientific meeting aims to discuss advances in each of the techniques and plan for future large xenon detectors in the search for neutrinoless double-beta decay.
