Double beta decay is back at LSC!

This week, the NEXT-NEW experiment started their Run V, the first run with enriched Xenon (90% ¹³⁶Xe). 

The experiment is already accumulating double beta decay events, which will be separated from the background noise.

Also, the CROSS collaboration started the construction of the lead shielding which will host the cryostat. Both double beta experiments have been supported by ERC Advanced Grants. Congratulations!
