The Director of the LSC, Aldo Ianni, organized a workshop on deep sea measurements and analysis at the LSC and LNGS (Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso). At the first public meeting on the 26th, talks were given by three experts in radio-purity services, radioactive sources, and background measurements from the LNGS, as well as by the LABAC group from the University of Zaragoza associated with the laboratory. On Thursday, the 27th, the three experts from the LNGS participated in a meeting with our specialized staff at the LSC to advise on the handling of radioactive sources and discuss a possible collaboration for the development of a very low background germanium radioactive detector.
