LAST PHASE OF THE ASSEMBLY OF ArDM

The last phase which will complete the assembly of ArDM is being carried out by physics and engineers of the experiment.

This phase consists on cooling the cryogenic vessels and the detector by condensing argon in the cooling bath. Argon gas from bottles will be condensed in the cooling bath (200 L in volume) with the aid of the three cryocoolers, installed in previous phases. After the bath has been filled two cryocoolers will be kept running to maintain the liquid in the bath and the third one will be turned off.
